Developed a mechanically operated applicator for single-use transdermal medicinal patch
The client, a leading American R&D firm that partners with medical device OEMs had to develop an applicator for applying the transdermal medicinal drug patch onto the user's skin. Development of the applicator proved challenging because the right impulse force to stick the drug patch onto the skin was not achieved and the design of the applicator proved to be cumbersome for the end-user. The client needed a partner who had the expertise to design medical devices and develop its prototypes in a short time.
They entrusted us with this responsibility and we successfully developed a mechanically operated applicator for a single-use transdermal medicinal patch.
